Senior Full Stack Engineer at Forerunner

The role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates located anywhere in the United States, provided you are available to work during Eastern or Central time zones. As a senior member of our engineering group, you will play a vital role in shaping our technical direction while helping us simplify complex problems for our partners.

Core responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test features across our entire stack, including frontend components, backend services, and data modeling.
• Collaborate on infrastructure and support tasks within our AWS environment, as our small team shares responsibility for maintaining our systems.
• Mentor peers through pair programming and lead the planning and execution of significant, complex technical projects.

Skills and experience

We work with a modern, robust technology stack and value engineers who are curious and eager to learn. While you do not need to be an expert in every tool we use, you should have a solid working knowledge of several items from our toolkit:

• Frontend: TypeScript, React.js, and React Native.
• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
• Data: Postgres and PostGIS.
• Infrastructure & Workflow: AWS, Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.

Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $190,000 USD. Beyond compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being:
