Senior Frontend Engineer at Zenysis

Zenysis is a global technology startup dedicated to building advanced integration and analytics software that helps governments and international organizations implement life-saving health programs. Our diverse team of software engineers, diplomats, and public health experts works to address the most pressing global health challenges. Our software is currently utilized in 12 countries across Africa, Asia, and South America, supported by partners like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID, and the Global Fund. We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join us in a full-time, hybrid capacity to help us refine the interfaces that support these critical missions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new frontend features while taking full ownership of the codebase architecture, design, and long-term maintenance.
• Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices to ensure high-quality, scalable, and consistent code across the development team.
• Collaborate directly with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ensure seamless integration and a cohesive, user-centric experience.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Between 5 and 7 years of professional experience in frontend design and development.
• Deep proficiency in JavaScript and React, along with experience using TypeScript or Flow for type safety.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest to ensure high reliability.
• Working knowledge of backend and infrastructure technologies, including AWS, Docker, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong problem-solving abilities combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
