Senior Frontend Engineer – Usage Ingestion at ICE

ICE is a music technology company founded by rightsholders to simplify the complex music royalty chain. We support over 330,000 rightsholders by managing a database of 55 million musical works and distributing over €1bn in royalties annually across 250 territories. We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Usage Ingestion team, based in the United Kingdom or Spain, to help us build the systems that ensure composers and songwriters are compensated accurately.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full development lifecycle for our frontend applications, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and operations.
• Take full ownership of your deliverables by following our you build it, you run it philosophy.
• Work closely with product owners, business partners, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software.
• Mentor and coach team members to help grow our collective engineering expertise.

Must-haves

• Extensive experience with React, specifically using functional components, hooks, and contexts.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Redux Toolkit, including Redux Toolkit Query.
• Proven experience working with design systems like Material UI.
• Solid understanding of Test Driven Development and version control using Git.
• A collaborative, team-first mindset.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with CSS and working from wireframes in tools like Figma.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and collaborative modeling.
• Familiarity with AWS, ECS, and Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress.
• Technical exposure to gRPC, Protobuf, Husky, ESLint, and Prettier.
• A genuine passion for music.
