Senior Front End Software Engineer at Humi

We are looking for a Senior Front End Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. At Humi, we are on a mission to help Canadian organizations support their greatest asset, which is their employees. We have built a unique, all-in-one platform that handles HR, payroll, benefits, and insurance, and we are currently scaling rapidly with the backing of top investors like Y-Combinator and Tribe Capital. As we grow, we are looking for talented engineers who are passionate about building robust, scalable systems and want to help us shape the future of work. This position is remote, and we are happy to consider applicants from anywhere in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a cross-functional squad to design, build, and deliver new features that provide real value to our customers.
• Take ownership of technical initiatives and contribute to the overall quality of our platform by writing performant, well-tested code.
• Mentor junior and intermediate team members to help them grow while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and constructive code reviews.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience working with Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, including both functional and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Proven ability to create complex, responsive user interfaces using CSS, specifically grid and flexbox.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs using Promises and Observables.
• A commitment to high-quality software through integration and end-to-end testing practices.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for solving challenging problems and sharing knowledge with the team.
