A new space race is underway, and at True Anomaly, we are rising to the challenge. We build advanced technology at the intersection of spacecraft, software, and artificial intelligence to ensure space remains secure and sustainable for everyone. Our work supports the U.S. and its partners by solving complex operational and manufacturing problems that protect global interests. We believe our people are our greatest competitive advantage, and we are looking for talented individuals who want to build innovative solutions that have a real-world impact.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Front End Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will serve as the central nervous system for our product development, bridging the gap between complex military objectives and the autonomous control of spacecraft. You will take ownership of challenging, greenfield projects and contribute to the evolution of our sophisticated modeling and simulation software. This is a hybrid position that offers the chance to influence the future of space security.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop complex, web-based frontend software for space ground systems, including both 2D and 3D interfaces, while adhering to specific product and design requirements.
- Write code that is scalable, testable, and maintainable, ensuring it meets both industry standards and our internal best practices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including space operators, backend engineers, and astrodynamics experts, to design and build robust multi-service systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 to 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Deep expertise in HTML, CSS, and modern TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Extensive experience with React and related libraries like D3, Jotai, or TanStack.
- Proficiency with testing frameworks such as Jest.
- Experience building custom UI components and working with services like REST, WebSockets, and gRPC.
- Comfortable working within Agile environments and using Git for version control.
- Due to U.S. government space technology export regulations, you must be a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual as defined by federal law.
Location
This position is available to candidates anywhere, operating under a hybrid work model.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a base salary range of $140,000 to $190,000. In addition to competitive pay, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
- Hybrid work flexibility.
- Dental insurance and vision insurance.
- 401k retirement planning.
- Generous paid time off.
