About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Flutter Developer to join us on a Full Time basis. In this remote position, you will lead the creation of a new native mobile application that replaces our current webview-based app, helping millions of community members discover and engage with their interests on iOS and Android.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop our Flutter-based Fora Communities mobile application for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Partner with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver a polished, scalable user experience through rapid experimentation and A/B testing.
- Collaborate with backend teams on API requirements while writing clean, maintainable, and testable code that supports our growing community platform.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including 3 years focused on mobile applications and 2 years working with Dart and Flutter.
- Proven success launching highly scalable mobile apps on both iOS and Android.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, BLoC architecture, JSON, push notifications, and deep linking.
- Willingness to travel to Toronto and Mountain View, California twice per year.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred, along with familiarity using Firebase tools, GraphQL, and experimentation platforms.
Location
This role is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere, provided they are current Canadian residents authorized to work in Canada.
