As a company recognized by Time and Fast Company for our impact, we are looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our on-vehicle software team. What you'll be doing
- You will lead the design, development, and operation of embedded software capabilities for our current and future electric vehicle products.
- You will own unique embedded functions across the full lifecycle, including implementation in C, C++, or Rust, as well as testing and integration within Linux or RTOS environments.
- You will collaborate with hardware teams to support board bring-up, verification, and system architecture while working with components like networking, motor control, and various onboard sensors.
What you'll bring
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of professional software development experience, including 3 years of hands-on work with C or C++ in an embedded environment such as consumer electronics, automotive, or industrial systems.
- A strong ability to solve problems in an evolving startup environment and the capacity to balance immediate needs with long-term goals.
- Fluency in English and the ability to work in a hybrid capacity, as you must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to visit our office and warehouse at least twice a week.
What you'll get
The anticipated salary range for this position is $156,000 to $215,000. In addition to your base pay, you will have access to the following benefits:
