At Infinitum Electric, we are changing the way the world thinks about power. We have engineered a breakthrough electric motor that is smaller, smarter, and significantly more efficient than traditional options. Our goal is to integrate this technology into everything from everyday HVAC systems to the next generation of electric vehicles. We are building a community where everyone feels a sense of belonging, and we would love for you to join us in our mission.
What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Liberty Lake, WA. This is a senior-level position for someone who is ready to take ownership of designing, developing, and testing firmware for our embedded systems. You will play a vital role in our engineering department by bridging the gap between hardware and software to ensure our systems perform at their peak.
What will you do?
- Design and optimize firmware to manage control, protection, and fault diagnosis for our power converters, inverters, and AFPM motors.
- Write and maintain low-level drivers for both bare metal and RTOS environments.
- Collaborate directly with our hardware and control engineering teams to conduct characterization tests and define input and output requirements.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have a solid foundation in embedded C programming and a background in electrical or computer engineering. We value candidates who bring the following skills and experience:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in firmware development.
- Strong proficiency with RTOS and various communication protocols like UART, I2C, SPI, and USB.
- Familiarity with motor control concepts, such as field-oriented control and space vector PWM.
- Experience working with TI C2000 MCUs or ARM processors.
- Knowledge of industrial protocols like Modbus, BACnet, or CIP.
- Proficiency with version control tools like GIT.
What's in it for you?
We believe in taking care of our team members so they can focus on doing their best work. When you join Infinitum Electric, you will have access to a robust benefits package, including:
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
- A 401(k) plan with both traditional and Roth options.
- Meaningful stock options.
- Open paid time off and 12 paid holidays.
- Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts.
- Potential relocation assistance and a flexible work schedule.
- Fun team perks like company-paid lunches on Fridays and community give-back opportunities.
