Key outcomes

• Oversee the health, growth, and professional development of your engineering team members, including managing performance reviews and succession planning.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to squads, ensuring high productivity and the delivery of secure, high-quality software.
• Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to define strategy, set priorities, and align on project roadmaps.
• Foster a high-performance culture by promoting best practices in system design, security, and risk management.
• Balance the delivery of new features with the management of technical debt to ensure long-term system reliability.
• Drive global hiring efforts to attract and retain top engineering talent.
• Monitor key metrics and goals to ensure teams are effectively meeting their missions.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience managing engineering teams, with a minimum of 2 years spent managing other managers.
• A strong background in trading or investment platforms.
• Proven success in scaling engineering teams and optimizing delivery processes for high-throughput, mission-critical systems.
• Deep technical expertise in software architecture and team building.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed, remote teams.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Splunk or Datadog.
• Proficiency with Git and modern CI/CD automation.
• Experience building and launching large-scale, user-facing products.
• Comfort with DevOps principles and modern delivery practices.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Specific knowledge of the cryptocurrency and trading ecosystem.
• Experience working with Kubernetes, gRPC, REST, microservices, and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Background in developing mobile or web-based user-facing products.
• Familiarity with the Shape Up methodology or similar fixed-cycle development frameworks.
