What is this role?
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a leadership position focused on providing vision and strategic direction to our Product Engineering teams. You will be responsible for guiding multiple squads that build the experiences used by our members and partners every day. This role is remote, though it requires significant in-person engagement with our teams in Denver, meaning you should be open to quarterly travel if you are not based in that area.
What will you do?
- Mentor and coach engineering teams while actively developing the leadership capabilities of emerging managers within your pillar.
- Oversee multiple engineering domains to ensure resources are allocated efficiently and that our technology solutions align with our broader business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives by building strong relationships with design, product management, and other engineering leaders to solve complex, multi-disciplinary challenges.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should be a seasoned leader who is comfortable navigating complex projects and adapting to shifting requirements. We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualifications:
- Approximately 2 to 3 years of experience in a role guiding other engineering managers.
- Practical experience working with modern cloud architectures or microservices.
- A proven track record of helping individuals and teams grow their professional skills.
- Strong communication skills in English and a history of fostering productive partnerships across product, design, and operations teams.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to manage complex project lifecycles.
What's in it for you?
We are committed to transparency and equal pay for equal work. The base salary for this position is $230,000 - $245,000, and we also provide company stock options. In addition to your compensation, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and future:
- Remote work flexibility.
- Access to a 401k plan to help you save for the future.
- Paid time off to ensure you have the space to rest and recharge.
- Employer-paid disability insurance.
- Employer-sponsored life insurance.
