At PartsTech, we are transforming the automotive aftermarket by providing a seamless, e-commerce platform that connects repair shops, parts distributors, and manufacturers. Our mission is to make the process of finding and ordering automotive components simple, fast, and accurate. We are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team on a contractor basis. In this role, you will lead our Search & Discovery Product Engineering team, shaping our product vision and delivering high-impact technical solutions that enhance the user experience across our platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a global team of product engineers while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with product managers and designers to define requirements, prioritize features, and manage the end-to-end development lifecycle from initial ideation to final release.
- Drive operational excellence by implementing robust software development practices, including agile methodologies, CI/CD, and rigorous testing, to ensure our search and discovery features remain scalable and reliable.
Requirements
- You hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and possess 8 to 10 years of experience in product engineering leadership, with at least 3 to 5 years specifically in management.
- You have deep technical expertise in search technologies like Elasticsearch, as well as proficiency in languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Python.
- Your background includes at least 5 years of experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices, alongside familiarity with GraphQL, PHP Symfony, and React.
- You have a proven track record of managing global, distributed teams, and you must reside within the Eastern Time Zone of Canada.
What we offer
The annual salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $225,000 CAD. As a member of our team, you will also benefit from our remote-first work environment, allowing you to contribute to our global mission from the comfort of your home.
