The role

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. In this senior leadership position, you will oversee one of our Payments teams focused on the Mexican market. This is a high-growth product area, and we need a seasoned leader who can navigate a fast-paced startup environment while coaching a talented group of engineers. You will work remotely from anywhere, acting as a force multiplier for your team while maintaining the technical acumen necessary to contribute to architecture and strategy.

Core responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor a stellar engineering team to ensure high performance, productivity, and overall team wellbeing.
• Partner closely with Product Managers to define objectives, establish priorities, manage risks, and navigate trade-offs during the development lifecycle.
• Drive the execution and delivery of new features and products while participating in cross-functional planning and high-level architectural discussions.

Skills and experience

• At least 4 years of experience in engineering leadership and people management, ideally within a startup or fast-growth environment.
• A strong background as a senior individual contributor with the ability to engage in deeply technical discussions.
• Proven project management skills, including the ability to plan and execute complex initiatives with minimal specifications.
• Proficiency in our core tech stack, including Python, Django, Vue.js, AWS, and Datadog.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance software development and automation.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
