Key outcomes

• Provide technical leadership by driving the vision for subscription growth and retention, including signup optimization, pricing strategies, and loyalty programs.
• Partner with the Tech Lead to oversee the design, development, and scalability of our subscription systems to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing full-stack engineering team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
• Collaborate across functions with Product, Design, Marketing, Data, and Infrastructure teams to define priorities and execute high-impact initiatives.
• Champion engineering excellence by promoting best practices in code quality and automated testing.
• Work closely with platform teams to enhance authentication, payment systems, and cross-platform subscription experiences.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 4 years in engineering management leading full-stack teams or growth initiatives.
• Proven experience in building and scaling subscription platforms, specifically regarding payments, pricing, and retention flows.
• A collaborative and empathetic leadership style with a track record of mentoring and supporting team members.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to align diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic thinking capabilities that allow you to balance long-term technical vision with immediate business requirements.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in growth engineering, including experimentation, user segmentation, and conversion optimization.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range based on your geographic location and experience. In California, the expected range is $178,500 to $278,500. For the United States outside of California, the range is $147,000 to $264,500. In Canada, the range is $187,000 CAD to $247,500 CAD. This position is also eligible for equity ownership and a comprehensive benefits package.
