About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of web applications, utilizing your expertise in modern software practices to deliver high-quality, scalable platforms that support our mission-critical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and build robust web application features, including both back-end logic and front-end interfaces.
- Collaborate within an integrated Agile team to participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and continuous improvement of our development standards.
- Develop and maintain scalable APIs while ensuring high performance through rigorous testing, monitoring, and database optimization.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience, including 3+ years working on small, integrated Agile product teams.
- Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript or Python, with at least 1 year of experience using both.
- Strong background in cloud architecture, specifically with AWS, as well as experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Deep understanding of modern web frameworks like Django and GraphQL, along with experience managing relational and non-relational databases.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and residency within the United States.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Location
This position is remote, though you must reside in the United States and be available to work during Eastern time zone hours. Occasional travel for project meetings or training may be required, estimated at 5 to 15 percent per year.
