Role at a glance

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Search Platform Team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates based in Australia, New Zealand, or Mexico. You will play a key role in our major initiative to integrate vector search capabilities into our stack, ensuring our users can find the creative assets they need with high relevance.

• Design and implement robust technical solutions that balance quality, maintainability, and business value while collaborating closely with stakeholders and your fellow engineers.
• Mentor team members and delegate tasks effectively to empower your colleagues and support the collective growth of the engineering department.
• Take ownership of our systems by writing reliable code, identifying potential risks, and focusing on the long-term impact of the software we build.

What you'll need

We are looking for someone who values collaboration and continuous learning. You should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

• At least 5 years of experience in full stack development.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or a similar framework like Python with Django.
• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, Terraform, and Cloudflare.
• Technical familiarity with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or vector search engines.
• A strong commitment to engineering best practices, including testing, refactoring, and clear communication.
• The ability to evaluate trade-offs in decision-making, balancing rapid iteration with production stability.
