Senior Engineer React at WizeHive, India

From the Coca Cola Scholars Program to the American Red Cross, we provide cloud-based solutions that manage the full lifecycle of grants, scholarships, and fellowships. We are currently establishing our engineering presence in Indore, India, and we are looking for a Senior React Engineer to join our team on the ground floor to help us build world-class products that empower purpose-driven organizations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the product team during video conferences to gather requirements and discuss feature enhancements.
• Build, maintain, and improve our core SaaS platform.
• Lead sprint planning sessions by breaking down epics and user stories into manageable tasks with clear ownership.
• Engage in daily agile stand-ups and retrospectives, proactively removing obstacles to boost team productivity.
• Perform thorough code reviews to maintain a high standard of quality across the development process.

Must-haves

• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, including significant time spent mentoring others and managing team operations.
• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript and experience working with full stack React, Node, and Mongo applications.
• Ability to manage the entire software development life cycle from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of both SQL and No-SQL database systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• A meticulous, detail-oriented work ethic with the ability to self-manage projects.
• A strong sense of business value when balancing development effort against commercial goals.
• A deep commitment to software quality and rigorous testing practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced, up-to-date skills in HTML and CSS.
• Experience building progressive web applications, including work with service workers, offline capabilities, and custom caching strategies.
