Hello, we are Oscar. We are excited to invite you to join our engineering team as a Senior Engineer II. Since our founding in 2012, we have been working to transform the health insurance industry by building a full-stack technology platform that treats our members with the same care and attention you would expect from a doctor in your own family. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for creating intuitive, member-focused experiences through robust software engineering.
What you'll be doing
- You will design, build, and support high-quality software solutions, specifically focusing on identity management and authentication systems.
- You will implement and manage complex identity protocols, including SAML, OIDC, OAUTH2, and SCIM, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine our governance engines.
- You will take ownership of deploying and monitoring your tools within Kubernetes environments to ensure our systems remain secure, scalable, and reliable.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in software development and a deep interest in identity security. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience, with a significant focus on identity management and authentication.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience working with Python and React.
- A solid understanding of modern web backends, such as Flask, and a mastery of identity protocols like SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
- Fluency in English to effectively collaborate with your teammates and document your processes.
What you'll get
We offer a competitive base salary for this position ranging from $174,400 to $228,900 per year. Beyond your salary, you will enjoy a comprehensive package of benefits designed to support your health and well-being:
- Flexible work options, including both remote and hybrid arrangements.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
- Financial security through life and disability insurance, as well as 401(k) plan participation.
- Generous paid time off to ensure you have the time you need to recharge.
