Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Portfolio Management team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position where you will play a critical role in building the systems that manage retirement funds for our customers. You can work from anywhere in the United States, collaborating with an agile team that is currently expanding to tackle new product opportunities and drive significant growth.
Your impact
- Design, build, and maintain the backend software systems that process and record retirement savings for our customers.
- Develop robust, scalable, and observable financial engines while making informed engineering tradeoffs to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with fellow engineers and stakeholders to share technical expertise, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement across our codebase.
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Deep expertise in building scalable services and working with both SQL and NoSQL database platforms.
- A strong background in cloud infrastructure and performance analysis.
- A collaborative mindset with a genuine passion for mentoring others and exchanging feedback.
- The ability to write clean, maintainable, and highly testable code.
- Formal training in computer science or a related discipline is preferred.
- Proficiency in English.
