Key outcomes
- Develop and maintain core Unreal Engine 5 features, including memory management, asset streaming, and task graphs.
- Design scalable, high-performance systems that address complex project requirements.
- Partner with artists and fellow engineers to optimize features for maximum efficiency.
- Engineer comprehensive solutions that span the engine, editor, and build pipeline.
- Manage middleware integrations and provide guidance to the team on best practices.
- Diagnose and resolve stability issues across PC and next-generation console platforms.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members to support their professional growth.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in game engine programming.
- Advanced proficiency in C++ and a strong foundation in mathematics.
- Proven ability to develop and debug complex multi-threaded systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and effective time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
- A proactive, positive attitude when facing new technical challenges.
- Willingness to participate in regular internal playtests.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Direct experience working with Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
- Proficiency with performance analysis tools like Pix or Razor to optimize resource usage.
- A track record of shipping multiplatform game titles.
Compensation
