Role at a glance

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Miami, Florida. We are seeking a Senior level engineer to provide technical leadership, mentor our firmware team, and drive complex software projects from concept to deployment. You will report directly to the VP of Product Development and play a pivotal role in shaping our technical strategy.

Your impact

• Lead the full software development lifecycle by coaching our team and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centric design.
• Drive the development of embedded firmware releases using Agile methodologies to ensure we meet market demands for IoT and device cloud services.
• Collaborate with leadership to architect and validate device-cloud features, focusing on Linux-based platforms and custom hardware integration.

What you'll need

You should have a strong background in technology development and a proven track record of shipping high-volume embedded products. We value strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• A degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with at least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Expertise in C programming, Linux system administration, and embedded architectures.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/UDP, SIP, VoIP, and VPN technologies like OpenVPN.
• Proficiency with Python, web-based SaaS systems, and security protocols such as SSL/TLS and IPSec.
• Hands-on experience with packet analysis tools like Wireshark and a solid understanding of the OSI model.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects is highly preferred.
• Fluency in English.
