Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our engineering group on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in our Irvine, California office, requiring you to be on-site at least four days per week. You will play a key role in developing our MANET radios and contributing to advanced research projects.
Your impact
- Develop and implement software for MAC and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocols.
- Design and maintain network management software, web interfaces, and audio streaming applications.
- Enhance product security and robustness by implementing encryption algorithms and security protocols to meet standards like NIST FIPS 140-3.
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you should be a U.S. person with a strong background in embedded systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in embedded software development.
- Expertise in C programming and hands-on experience with Linux kernel driver development.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong knowledge of networking, security protocols, and algorithms.
