Senior Director, Application Solutions at Supportkind

Kids in Need of Defense, known as KIND, is a global leader dedicated to protecting unaccompanied and separated children who have been forcibly displaced from their home countries. Since our launch in 2008, we have championed a world where every child’s rights and well-being are defended throughout their journey to safety. We are currently expanding our reach across the Americas and Europe, focusing on legal and mental health support, building strong partnerships with governments and NGOs, and advocating for systemic reforms. We are looking for a Senior Director, Application Solutions to join our team in a remote capacity from anywhere in the U.S. In this role, you will help shape our technological future by aligning our cloud and application infrastructure with our vital mission.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the strategic direction and operational excellence of our application ecosystem, including the management of Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics 365 CRM, and Azure environments.
• Develop and implement a cloud-first strategy that fosters innovation, while actively exploring emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to enhance our business processes.
• Mentor and coach our applications team to cultivate a culture of high performance, inclusivity, and continuous professional growth while managing departmental budgets and vendor relationships.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this executive role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• An advanced degree in computer engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 8 years of leadership experience with a proven track record in IT design, development, and implementation.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing and optimizing Microsoft technologies, specifically Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics 365, and Azure.
• At least 5 years of experience in team supervision, with a focus on fostering trust, conflict resolution, and employee motivation.
• Strong proficiency in English and the ability to communicate effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment.
• A deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, paired with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are highly desirable.
