Senior DevOps Engineer at Mistplay

About the Role

This is a full-time position for a seasoned engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build secure, high-performance solutions while mentoring junior team members and driving our long-term cloud strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS while optimizing for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Manage infrastructure through Infrastructure-as-Code practices using tools like Terraform, and automate deployments with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers, resolving complex cloud-related incidents, and evaluating emerging technologies to improve our ecosystem.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who possess a strong technical foundation and a collaborative spirit. Key qualifications include:

• At least 8 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related field with a history of managing large-scale systems.
• Deep expertise in AWS and proficiency in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong programming and scripting capabilities in Python, BASH, or Go.
• A solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, networking, and security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Bonus points for AWS certifications, experience with microservices, or a background in serverless computing.

Location

This role is based in Canada. We operate on a hybrid model, requiring team members to be in the office two days per week at our locations in Toronto (400 University Ave) or Montreal (1001 Blvd. Robert-Bourassa).
