The Bouqs Co. is a fresh, modern floral company that is revolutionizing the flower industry by connecting farms directly to customers. We are currently searching for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our remote technology team and help us build, secure, and scale the infrastructure that powers our e-commerce platform.
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain reliable, scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS and Cloudflare.
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline our software release processes.
- Ensure high system availability and security by monitoring performance and conducting regular audits.
- Partner with our development teams to enhance application performance and deployment workflows.
- Use Terraform to implement and manage infrastructure as code.
- Oversee containerization and orchestration efforts utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.
- Support our data layer by working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Redis.
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps role with a strong focus on AWS cloud management.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Deep technical proficiency with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines and working with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Comprehensive knowledge of system administration, networking, and security best practices.
- Experience managing both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, remote environment.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Background in supporting e-commerce platforms or complex logistical systems.
- Experience maintaining applications built in Java, Scala, or Ruby on Rails.
- Practical knowledge of PCI compliance standards.
