Kontakt.io is a leader in indoor environmental and location services, utilizing Bluetooth Low Energy technology to transform how buildings function for the people who use them. Since 2013, we have scaled our solutions to cover over one billion square feet, supporting more than 30,000 end-users through our extensive network of IoT devices. We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us define the future of human-centric building technology.
Responsibilities
- Drive architecture and deliver scalable solutions on the AWS platform, focusing on virtualization, migration, and automation.
- Manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines to ensure seamless application delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate internal and external cloud services.
- Develop scripts and templates to automate daily operational tasks and improve cloud platform efficiency.
- Implement monitoring, event triggers, and dashboards to track resource workloads.
- Take a lead role in security initiatives, including auditing, incident management, and the implementation of best practices.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure system reliability.
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a DevOps, Systems Administration, or Server Operations role.
- Proven expertise in Kubernetes within cloud environments, specifically AWS.
- Proficiency with infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Chef, Ansible, and Docker.
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking concepts like load balancing and security protocols.
- Experience working with MongoDB and Cassandra databases.
- Fluency in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash.
- Solid background in security operations, including knowledge of SIEM, firewalls, and vulnerability management.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
