Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Work Type: Hybrid (4x/week) - Full Time
Pay: 130K - 170K
About the Company: We are partnered with a cutting-edge biotech company that specializes in designing protein-based therapeutics using advanced computational methods. They are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team in Toronto.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage on-premise and cloud infrastructure for computational workflows.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines to speed up development.
- Keep systems reliable and available with monitoring and automation.
- Work with engineers and researchers to optimize resource use.
- Fix system issues to keep the platform running smoothly.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure and processes.
- Help with IT tasks like network setup and security.
- Explore new tools to enhance infrastructure efficiency.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in DevOps or similar roles.
- Skilled in Linux system administration.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Familiar with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of monitoring tools like Prometheus.
- Good networking and security skills.
- Strong in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
- Knowledge of high-performance computing (HPC).
- Experience with on-premise cluster setup.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
