The role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position for an engineer who is passionate about building scalable infrastructure and improving system reliability. You will work in a fully remote environment, collaborating with a distributed team to support our engineering organization. Please note that while we are a remote-first company, this specific role requires the candidate to be based in Mexico. You will participate in an on-call rotation to ensure our platform remains highly available for our users.
Core responsibilities
- Design and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code to accelerate our development and deployment cycles.
- Scale our platform and enhance system reliability by managing our Kubernetes and AWS environments.
- Automate self-service tools and workflows to empower our engineering team while maintaining high security and compliance standards.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong background in cloud engineering and a collaborative mindset. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and the ability to troubleshoot complex cluster issues.
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure management and strong scripting abilities in Python and BASH.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services and core networking concepts, including VPCs, DNS, TLS, and load balancing.
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions.
- A firm grasp of security and compliance best practices, specifically regarding SOC2 and PCI requirements.
- Full professional proficiency in English, as it is our primary language for business.
