At Twingate, we are redefining how businesses secure access to their cloud, SaaS, and on-premise resources. In an era where workforces are increasingly distributed, we believe that securing access to apps and data is a critical challenge. We are backed by prominent investors, including BOND, WndrCo, 8VC, Green Bay Ventures, SignalFire, and the founders of Dropbox, who all share our vision for a more secure, modern remote access solution. Our culture is defined by a deep commitment to our users, and we look for teammates who find genuine pride in placing the customer at the center of every design decision.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role is essential to our mission, as you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the scalable infrastructure that powers our platform. You will work closely with our engineering teams to reduce toil, improve the developer experience, and ensure our systems remain reliable as we continue to grow. If you enjoy solving complex architectural problems and want to help us build a world-class platform, you will find a home here.
A day in the life
- You will design and implement robust, scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes.
- You will drive our GitOps strategy by utilizing Flux to automate deployments and streamline our release cycles.
- You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to lead incident responses, conduct post-mortems, and mentor junior engineers on best practices.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer with a strong grasp of infrastructure and system architecture. You have a proven track record in DevOps and are comfortable working independently or as part of a collaborative team. We value your ability to look at the big picture while staying grounded in the details of our technical stack, which includes GCP, Python, and Linux.
Key qualifications include:
- Expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, and Linux Shell.
- Programming proficiency, with a preference for Python or Go.
- Deep knowledge of public cloud environments, with GCP being a significant advantage.
- Experience building full application release cycles using CI/CD and GitOps practices.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools and a desire to integrate them into your daily workflow.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, high-agency approach to problem-solving.
Why you'll love it here
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you and your family. Our commitment to your well-being includes 100% coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurance. You will also have access to:
- Financial Security: 401k plans (Traditional and Roth), life insurance, disability insurance, and equity compensation.
- Flexible Planning: Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts for healthcare, dependent care, and commuting.
- Time Off: Flexible paid time off, including approximately 11 paid holidays, 10 days of sick leave, 6 weeks of paid parental leave, and 14 to 16 weeks of maternity leave.
- Remote Culture: The ability to work from anywhere while being part of a team that values diversity and equal opportunity.
