A new space race is unfolding, and at True Anomaly, we are right at the forefront of it. We believe that the peaceful use of space is vital for everything from global communication and finance to logistics and navigation. Our team builds cutting-edge technology at the intersection of spacecraft, software, and artificial intelligence to support the U.S., our allies, and our commercial partners. We are looking for people with the talent and ambition to solve complex engineering and operational challenges that ensure space remains secure and sustainable for everyone. We value creativity, challenge assumptions to deliver results, and believe that our people are our greatest competitive advantage.
The opportunity
Software acts as the central nervous system for our mission, bridging the gap between theoretical astrodynamics and the practical control of spacecraft. We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help evolve our complex modeling and simulation software. You do not need a background in aerospace or space ground systems to thrive here. Instead, you will have the chance to own greenfield problems and make a fundamental impact on the future of our company. This is a full-time, remote role that offers you the chance to work on high-stakes projects while enjoying a collaborative environment.
A day in the life
- You will design and manage our cloud-based infrastructure on Azure, utilizing Terraform to provision resources while ensuring our security and compliance standards are always met.
- You will oversee the deployment and scaling of applications within Kubernetes, focusing on optimizing architecture and performance while keeping costs in mind.
- You will collaborate closely with software development teams to build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure our production flight environments remain secure and reliable.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer with at least 6 years of experience in DevOps and cloud environments. You have a strong command of English and bring a deep understanding of container orchestration, specifically with Kubernetes, as well as production-grade cloud infrastructure. You are comfortable with scripting languages like Python or Bash, and you possess a solid grasp of networking protocols. Because our work involves sensitive technology, you must be a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual as defined by federal regulations. While experience in the defense industry or with GovCloud is a bonus, we are most interested in your ability to balance the fast-paced nature of a startup with the need for a mature, secure flight environment.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in taking care of our team. You will receive a base salary ranging from $137,000 to $170,000 USD. Beyond your compensation, we offer a generous equity package and a comprehensive benefits suite designed to support your well-being and future. This includes:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- A 401k plan to help you save for the long term.
- Flexible work hours and the ability to work remotely from anywhere.
