The role
We are looking for a Senior Developer to join our scheduling team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position based in Canada, operating under a hybrid work model. You will report to the Engineering Manager and serve as a key technical leader within your product delivery team. We need someone who can navigate complex technical challenges, scope out project requirements, and drive high-quality software delivery with a strong bias for action.
Core responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software solutions while serving as a dedicated member of a feature development team.
- Provide technical leadership by mentoring colleagues, conducting code reviews, and modeling best practices in software craftsmanship.
- Drive innovation in system scalability, maintainability, and component re-use while proactively monitoring production applications to ensure client success.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript, with a preference for Vue experience.
- Solid understanding of SQL database design and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud computing platforms like AWS.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
