At Galvanick, we are on a mission to safeguard the industrial world from cyber threats. Our detection platform is specifically engineered to protect factories and critical infrastructure against sophisticated attackers, including criminals and nation-states that target SCADA and industrial control systems. We are a startup team composed of experts from organizations like Amazon, Apple, Google, the White House, and the US Navy, and we are backed by prominent investors like Founders Fund and MaC Venture Capital. We are looking for passionate individuals to help us solve some of the most challenging problems in cybersecurity.
What is this role?
We are hiring a Senior Detections Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Seattle. This is a senior-level position that requires a deep technical background and a commitment to working alongside our team in the office to tackle complex security challenges. Please note that due to ITAR requirements, you must be a US citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual as defined by federal regulations.
What will you do?
- Develop and refine detection use cases by leveraging SIEM platforms, big data environments, or relational databases to identify potential threats.
- Perform deep technical analysis of wired and wireless network protocols, as well as Windows and Linux hosts, to hunt for intrusions.
- Apply your expertise in offensive security and adversary emulation to strengthen our defenses and improve our overall detection capabilities.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in threat hunting, intrusion detection, or offensive security. You should possess an intimate familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND frameworks. We are looking for someone with strong programming skills in a modern language such as Python, Go, or Rust. Additionally, experience with industrial or operational environments, as well as incident response, will serve you well. You must be proficient in English to collaborate effectively with our team.

- Comprehensive medical insurance for employees and their dependents.
- Dental insurance coverage.
- Vision insurance coverage.
- Relocation assistance to help you make the move to Seattle.
