What is this role?

We are looking for an innovative Senior Data Scientist to join our team as a Data Fusion Coordinator. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the United States. You will play a high-impact role in supporting the Integrated Joint Fire Center at Camp H.M. Smith in Hawaii, working directly with the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. Please note that this position requires an active US Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

What will you do?

• Collaborate across USINDOPACOM directorates to identify and analyze data requirements, ensuring high data quality and the development of effective data strategies.
• Tag, categorize, and manage diverse data assets to support discovery and integration, while using visualization tools to present complex findings to stakeholders.
• Maintain and manipulate data across various applications using tools like Apache Spark, Python, Elastic Search, and Kibana to extract meaningful insights for intelligence and operational missions.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have at least six years of relevant experience along with a Bachelor’s degree in a field like Computer Science or Mathematics, or a Master’s degree with three years of experience. We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively with senior leadership and who has a strong background in extracting insights from structured and unstructured data. Proficiency in English is required. It is a major plus if you have experience with AWS, Java, C++, APIs, and SOAP, as well as familiarity with the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations.
