We are a technology company dedicated to creating real-time prediction systems for the competitive esports landscape. Our work supports major titles such as CS2, Dota 2, and League of Legends. By producing live win probabilities, handicap lines, and specialty markets during active matches, our models serve as the backbone for live betting markets. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity to lead the research and development of our core predictive technologies.
Key outcomes
- Develop and refine the machine learning models and statistical frameworks that drive our real-time odds and betting markets.
- Transform raw, high-frequency esports telemetry into structured features by identifying deep predictive signals within complex in-game mechanics.
- Prioritize model accuracy and probability calibration by building rigorous backtesting frameworks that evaluate performance against historical data while avoiding data leakage.
- Translate baseline win probabilities into sophisticated derivative markets, including totals, player props, and handicaps, through precise mathematical and probabilistic derivations.
- Oversee the transition of your research into production-grade pipelines and microservices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in quantitative research, data science, or statistical modeling.
- An intuitive and deep grasp of machine learning theory, probability, and statistics.
- Expert proficiency in the Python data stack, with a focus on writing clean, production-ready code.
- Demonstrated success in creating complex backtesting environments and establishing custom evaluation metrics tailored to specific business challenges.
- Professional fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- A solid understanding of quantitative trading, market-making, betting concepts, and odds.
- Experience working with streaming data or information that requires continuous updates over time.
- Extensive knowledge of competitive esports, including game mechanics and the competitive meta for titles like League of Legends, Dota 2, and CS2.
- Familiarity with MLOps principles and experience utilizing tools such as Airflow or MLFlow.
