The role
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our collaborative team of five within the data department. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Germany. You will play a pivotal role in our organization by extracting actionable insights and developing data-driven solutions that optimize our e-commerce platform. We operate with flat hierarchies, meaning you will work closely with colleagues of all seniority levels in an environment that prioritizes impact, mentorship, and team spirit.
Core responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data science projects, including demand forecasting, customer churn and lifetime value modeling, pricing strategies, and personalized recommender systems.
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models using frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow to solve complex business challenges.
- Build and maintain scalable MLOps workflows on the Databricks platform to ensure the seamless lifecycle management of production-grade models.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years of professional experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions in real-world business environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Python (including libraries like PySpark, scikit-learn, and pandas) and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and familiarity with Databricks.
- A solid grasp of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, such as regression, classification, and clustering.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Practical knowledge of MLOps workflows and experience with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark.
Compensation and benefits
