At Sprinter, we are on a mission to reshape last-mile healthcare delivery for those who are currently underserved by the traditional system. We are building a platform that brings professional care directly to patients in their homes, bridging the gap between clinical availability and patient needs. With over $37 million in funding from top-tier venture capital firms, we are scaling rapidly and looking for mission-driven individuals who want to solve complex logistics challenges while making a tangible difference in people's lives.
The role
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to serve as the first hire for our growing data organization. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in the United States, with an onsite requirement in Menlo Park, California. You will be instrumental in building our data strategy from the ground up, working closely with a team of engineers and product managers who bring experience from industry leaders like Google, Facebook, and Amazon. We are looking for a seasoned professional with at least five years of experience who is ready to take on significant ownership in a fast-paced, 0 to 1 environment.
Core responsibilities
- Lead independent exploration and analysis to optimize logistics, understand patient engagement, and shape high-level business strategy.
- Provide expert support for critical data questions originating from our internal teams, business stakeholders, and customers.
- Design and analyze A/B experiments to validate hypotheses and drive data-informed decision-making across the company.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong background in strategic business analysis and the ability to navigate complex, messy data sets independently. We require proficiency in the following areas:
- Expertise in BI and data visualization tools, such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Superset, or Grafana.
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake or Redshift.
- A proven track record of identifying new research avenues and translating technical findings into actionable business insights.
- Professional fluency in English.
Bonus points if you have experience with the ELK stack, healthcare-specific data sets, supply chain optimization, or growth marketing.
Compensation and benefits
We are committed to supporting our team members both inside and outside of the office. Our benefits package includes:
- Comprehensive dental and vision insurance.
- A 401k plan to help you save for the future.
- Relocation assistance for those moving to join our team.
- A flexible hybrid work environment designed to balance productivity with personal well-being.

If you are excited about the prospect of building a data foundation that directly improves patient outcomes, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to our team to start a conversation about how your experience aligns with our mission at Sprinter.
