Backed by $125M in funding from prominent investors like a16z, General Catalyst, GV, and Accel, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our new AI-focused incubator team. This role offers the agility of a seed-stage startup combined with the robust resources and established partnerships of an industry leader.

Key outcomes

• Design and maintain scalable data systems and robust ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Serve as a founding engineer within our incubator team to explore agentic AI applications in healthcare.
• Implement observability best practices to ensure data integrity and system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bridge gaps in the current healthcare system through innovative technical solutions.
• Utilize your expertise in Python and JavaScript to build and refine our core data architecture.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of broad experience in data engineering.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience operating in a seed-stage environment, demonstrating a scrappy and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Proven hands-on proficiency with BigQuery, Airflow, DBT, or AWS Glue.
• A deep understanding of various database architectures, including relational, document, columnar, key-value, and vector databases.
• Fluency in English and the ability to work in a hybrid capacity from our Bay Area offices.
