Role at a glance

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing Data Technology team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position, meaning you can work from anywhere that suits your lifestyle. You will play a critical role in our 2025 strategy, helping us build the systems that power real-time machine learning, business intelligence, and data governance for our billion-dollar marketplace.

Your impact

• Design and develop high-performance data pipelines while adhering to modern SDLC and CI/CD best practices.
• Collaborate directly with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements, debug logic, and ensure our data sets provide meaningful business value.
• Write and ship high-quality code, primarily using dbt, SQL, and Python, while mentoring fellow engineers to elevate the team's output.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable working in a complex, fast-paced environment where flexibility is key. We are looking for someone who possesses:

• Deep expertise in data warehousing, data lakes, and ELT processes using enterprise platforms like Snowflake.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• The ability to translate complex business needs into technical implementations while maintaining high standards for system performance and cost efficiency.
• A collaborative spirit, a sharp mind, and a genuine desire to learn our specific stack, which includes tools like Airflow, Fivetran, and Kubernetes.
• Fluency in English to communicate effectively with our distributed team.

Perks and compensation
