About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data and Technology team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will act as a technical leader, designing and maintaining sophisticated data platforms that drive our business forward. You will have the opportunity to lead large-scale initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and translate complex business requirements into high-quality technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable data architectures and models to meet our analytical and business needs.
- Develop and optimize complex ETL processes and data pipelines to ingest and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior team members, conducting code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure system reliability and performance.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, specifically within data architecture and database management.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Pyspark, Java, or Scala.
- Extensive expertise in big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Deep knowledge of SQL and experience working with various database technologies.
- Experience building end-to-end data pipelines and using CI/CD orchestration tools like Jenkins or Airflow.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in an Agile work environment.
Location
This position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere.
