We are currently seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our team and help our EMEA and US clients navigate complex challenges in data engineering, cloud migration, and machine learning.

Key outcomes

• Deliver high-impact solutions across various industries, either as an individual contributor or by leading a small delivery team.
• Manage direct relationships with our customers, working alongside project managers to ensure successful delivery on fast-paced, two to four-month projects.
• Utilize Apache Spark and Databricks on AWS or Azure to build robust data architectures.
• Mentor junior engineers, evaluate the quality of technical work, and participate in hiring efforts to help us grow our team.
• Identify and address organizational gaps, whether they involve documentation, process improvements, or communication.

Requirements

• A strong consultant mindset with a genuine passion for providing the best technical advice to customers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Solid software engineering foundations, including significant experience with Unix/Linux and a deep understanding of distributed systems.
• Proven hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL, and a track record of designing data-intensive applications.
• A commitment to knowledge sharing and mentoring, as we operate as a learning-focused organization.
• Fluency in English and a willingness to travel within the EU for business purposes up to 15 percent of the time.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior exposure to real-time data processing systems.
• Direct experience with the broader Big Data ecosystem.
• Previous hands-on experience in technical mentoring or people management.

Compensation

The gross salary for this senior-level position ranges from 1.700.000 to 2.300.000 HUF per month, depending on your assessed seniority during our selection process. Our benefits package includes:
