About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and constructing a robust, distributed data and analytics infrastructure. You will work extensively with open-source technologies to process massive streams of information from social media, news, and blogs, ultimately turning raw data into actionable, real-time insights for our users.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain high-performance data pipelines capable of handling large-scale ingestion, real-time analytics, and machine learning services.
- Create and refine distributed systems that provide the foundation for our downstream NLP, LLM, and AI-driven applications.
- Design and deploy reliable backend services and microservices while adhering to modern engineering standards like CI/CD and rigorous code reviews.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should possess a strong foundation in computer science and a track record of building scalable systems. Our ideal candidate brings the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of professional experience building scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark, Databricks, or Apache Storm.
- Proficiency in Scala, Java, and Python for backend development.
- Practical experience with AWS services and cloud-native deployment practices.
- Familiarity with real-time streaming frameworks like Kafka, as well as Elasticsearch and NoSQL database technologies.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- The ability to collaborate effectively across teams while working within U.S. time zones.

Compensation and Benefits
