The role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position based in Germany. You will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing the benefits of remote work with the collaborative energy of our Berlin office, where we expect team members to be present two to three days per week.

Core responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a robust data platform that serves both our internal teams and external customers.
• Enhance and extend our existing ELT processes while developing new tools that empower data-driven decision-making across the company.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to translate complex functional and technical requirements into scalable architecture.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and solid programming skills in Python.
• Extensive experience with modern data modeling concepts and large-scale data warehousing architecture.
• Practical, hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
• A deep understanding of data management fundamentals, storage principles, and the ability to build, scale, and monitor reliable data pipelines.
• Fluency in English to communicate effectively within our diverse team.
