Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in specific U.S. states. You will be a key player in our engineering department, focusing on the architecture and reliability of the data systems that power our crisis intervention services.
Your impact
- Design, build, and maintain highly scalable data pipelines using Infrastructure as Code principles and the Databricks platform.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into efficient data ingestion and integration processes.
- Develop and optimize big data processing workflows using Python, Spark, and PySpark while ensuring our data infrastructure remains secure and performant.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should be a self-motivated problem solver with a passion for continuous improvement. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 4 years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Expertise in managing complex data pipelines with Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, and PySpark.
- Hands-on experience working within AWS and Databricks environments.
- A solid understanding of distributed systems and the basics of machine learning.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- A stable, high-speed internet connection to support seamless remote collaboration.
- Fluency in English.
