Senior Data Engineer at Horizon

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join us in a remote capacity and help us build the foundational data systems that will define our success in the web3 space.

What you'll be doing

• You will design and evolve our data architecture to ensure all teams rely on a single, accurate source of truth while scaling our data capacity by 10x over the next few years.
• You will automate data pipelines and implement robust instrumentation using Go and TypeScript, ensuring that all engineers can effectively meter products.
• You will lead and mentor a growing team of data engineers, providing guidance on roadmaps, system design, and the implementation of reliable, scalable data solutions.

What you'll bring

• You have 3-5 years of relevant industry experience and a strong background in building fault-tolerant, large-scale software systems within major cloud environments like GCP or AWS.
• You possess excellent SQL skills and deep experience with ETL processes, specifically using tools like dbt and data warehouses such as Clickhouse, Snowflake, or Redshift.
• You are proficient in Go or TypeScript and have a high willingness to master blockchain data structures, schemas, and the broader web3 ecosystem.
• You are a collaborative communicator who thrives in cross-functional environments and has experience with distributed log systems like Kafka or Spark.
• You are fluent in English and comfortable working in a fully remote, autonomous setting.
