What you bring

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our distributed team on a full-time, remote basis. You will be instrumental in maintaining the high quality and reliability of our data assets as we scale. Your work will be central to our engineering efforts, utilizing a tech stack that includes SQL, BigQuery, MySQL, Google Cloud Platform, Python, JavaScript, and PHP. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing and maintaining efficient ETL processes to ensure data integrity across our systems.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex data issues within our pipelines to improve overall system performance.
• Collaborating with our engineering team and analysts to refine data models and implement robust data cleansing solutions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in data engineering with at least seven years of relevant experience. You should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. We value candidates who have mastered SQL and have hands-on experience with BigQuery, MySQL, and Google Cloud Platform. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and PHP is essential for this role. You should also have direct experience working with Customer Data Platforms like Segment. Beyond your technical skills, we look for exceptional problem-solving abilities, clear communication, and a meticulous approach to documentation and data governance.
