What you bring

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in Germany. In this role, you will be a key member of our data department, helping us evolve our infrastructure and sharing your expertise to support the tools that allow us to personalize and improve our games. You will work with a modern tech stack including Scala, Java, Python, Kubernetes, AWS, Airflow, DevOps, Docker, GitHub, Terraform, and Kafka.

• Maintain and modernize our existing data infrastructure.
• Develop and support tools that streamline the daily workflows of our game analysts and data scientists.
• Build robust software solutions that enable our marketing teams to integrate and analyze data from multiple sources.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings over seven years of engineering experience using Scala, Java, or Python. You should have deep expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters and working with cloud environments, ideally AWS. Proficiency in workflow orchestration with Airflow and a strong background in DevOps practices, such as CI/CD pipelines and Terraform, are essential. We value team players who stay current with the latest data engineering trends and possess strong English communication skills. While we prioritize your problem-solving abilities and desire to learn over a perfect match on paper, having knowledge of SQL, Jupyter notebooks, and data security principles is a great advantage.
