Senior Data Engineer, UTXO at Chainalysis

Key outcomes

• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for clustering heuristics across Bitcoin, Litecoin, and other UTXO networks.
• Collaborate with product managers and our investigations team to deliver high-quality data provenance services.
• Architect and manage AWS-based ingest pipelines, lambdas, and services to support our data intelligence goals.
• Create specialized tools to assist law enforcement agencies and internal investigators with case support.
• Design efficient ETL processes to integrate ground truth intelligence into our product suites.
• Automate the reporting of auditable data to ensure transparency and accuracy for our users.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and owning production-grade data systems.
• Strong proficiency in building data lakes, pipelines, and streaming services.
• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.
• Expertise in SQL and object-oriented programming languages.
• A deep understanding of computational complexity, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience developing deterministic algorithms and complex business logic for large-scale systems.
• Professional fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Practical experience working with Java.
• Familiarity with Bitcoin and other UTXO-based blockchain protocols.
• Background in providing technical support for law enforcement or legal cases.
