We are currently expanding our operations in South Korea and are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our growing local team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with architects, data scientists, and fellow engineers to design and implement high-impact data solutions.
Key outcomes
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines using the Databricks Lakehouse platform, leveraging Apache Spark and Delta Lake.
- Develop and optimize both batch and streaming data workflows to support business intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into reliable, production-ready data solutions.
- Enhance the cost efficiency and performance of data processing workloads within the Databricks environment.
- Promote best practices regarding data security, governance, and quality across the organization.
- Contribute to our culture of knowledge sharing by mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional growth.
Requirements
- Extensive practical experience with Databricks and Apache Spark, including proficiency in PySpark, SQL, or Scala.
- Proven track record of building data platforms within major cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, distributed data processing, and system performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Familiarity with orchestration frameworks such as Airflow or Databricks Workflows.
- Strong communication skills in both Korean and English, enabling effective collaboration in a global work environment.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for developing stable, scalable data systems.
