About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Architect to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will serve as a foundational leader in organizing and optimizing our complex data assets. You will work with diverse datasets, including EHR and claims information, to build scalable solutions that directly impact patient outcomes. This is a remote position where your technical expertise and curiosity will help shape the future of our data platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust data architectures, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models that ensure high standards for data quality, security, and privacy.
- Develop and optimize scalable data pipelines for ingestion and transformation, while monitoring system reliability for our SaaS products.
- Define and enforce data governance standards, ensuring all data usage and access controls remain compliant with healthcare regulations and internal agreements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience in data engineering and a strong background in data architecture and modeling.
- At least 5 years of specialized experience in data architecture, governance, and analytics, ideally within a SaaS or cloud-based environment.
- Deep expertise in Python and Spark, along with proficiency in at least one SQL dialect.
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare data formats such as FHIR, CCDA, HL7v2, and ADTs.
- Proven ability to design data-intensive applications using cloud technologies, data lakes, and modern storage formats like Parquet or Avro.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for various stakeholders.
Location
This position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere.
