The opportunity
We are searching for a seasoned Senior Data Architect to join our engineering team. This is a lead role where you will be responsible for defining and implementing data standards across our entire organization. You will not just be building systems, but also mentoring our teams to ensure these standards are embraced through a collaborative, inclusive approach. Your work will be vital in ensuring that our data architecture remains efficient and reliable as we continue to scale our impact on the industry.
A day in the life
- You will spearhead the development and rollout of data architecture best practices, ensuring that our technical standards are consistently applied across multiple engineering teams.
- You will host workshops and training sessions designed to empower your colleagues, helping them understand and adopt new data strategies through hands-on guidance.
- You will act as a bridge between teams, facilitating open communication to foster a culture of shared ownership and continuous improvement regarding our data infrastructure.
Who you are
You are a leader who understands that the best architecture is one that the whole team understands and supports. You have a strong background in data architecture, cloud services, and big data platforms. You possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in data architecture, with 3 or more years spent in a leadership capacity.
- A proven history of training teams and successfully implementing data standards within complex, multi-team environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, specifically in negotiation, relationship-building, and consensus-building.
- The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly in English.
