We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, statistical modelling, and data visualization, with a passion for uncovering insights that can drive improvements in customer engagement, sales, and operational efficiency. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing customer behaviour, trends in product preferences, and inventory performance to inform strategic decision-making across various departments within the organization.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end data analysis process, from data collection and cleansing to statistical modelling and interpretation of results.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and operations, to identify business requirements and translate them into data analysis tasks.

Develop and maintain robust data pipelines leveraging Snowflake database to ensure the availability and quality of data for analysis.

Utilize Looker visualization platform to create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights and findings to stakeholders.

Proactively explore data to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies in customer behaviour, sales performance, and inventory management, driving actionable insights for business improvement.

Design and implement predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and other advanced analytical techniques to forecast demand, optimize pricing, and personalize the shopping experience.

Mentor and provide guidance to other members of the data analysis team.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data analysis and data science, with a focus on e-commerce and retail industry best practices.

Experience, Education & Designations

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry.

Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and extraction with experience working with Snowflake database.

Experience with Looker or similar data visualization platforms.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

Strong programming skills in Python/R for data analysis and statistical modelling.

Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and time series analysis.

Proven ability to work with large-scale datasets and structured/unstructured data sources.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong curiosity to uncover insights and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Certifications/Licences

Certification in data analysis or related field (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, Google Data Analytics Certificate).
